Drug and Alcohol Detox and Inpatient Treatment
Detox and inpatient treatment are often the beginning of addiction recovery.
Drug detox is the process where all of a substance empties out of a person’s body. This can cause withdrawal symptoms. It is a difficult process to go through.
When you or someone you love goes to an inpatient treatment program, you, or they, will stay at the treatment center twenty-four hours a day. This type of program lasts 28 days.
In the program, patients will attend therapy and can have medical treatment to help handle withdrawal symptoms.
Partial Hospitalization Programs
A partial hospitalization program (PHP) is less intense than an inpatient program, but still includes 5 days of programs each week. These programs are best for someone who has already finished an inpatient program but still needs a high level of care.
At Peace Valley Recovery, we have a top of the line partial hospitalization program to meet your needs. It includes a variety of group and individual therapy options. Patients can drive home after the sessions or stay at a nearby sober living house.
Intensive Outpatient Programs
Intensive outpatient programs (IOP) are a step below PHPs. These programs run 3 hours per session, 3-5 days per week.
This is a great choice for someone who has school or works during the daytime hours. There is also the option of staying at a sober living home while attending intensive outpatient therapy.
Sober Living Homes in Your Area
A sober living home is a residence where people who are in addiction recovery stay when they are not quite ready to live at home yet. Sober living homes have rules to follow, and no drugs or alcohol are allowed at the house.
At Peace Valley Recovery, we work with Candor House, a sober living house in Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
