What is Alcoholics Anonymous?

Alcoholics Anonymous is an organization that was originally founded in 1935.

They offer peer support for people who have made the decision to stop drinking.

It is a dedicated group of people that help alcoholics use peer-to-peer in sobriety through the use of the spiritually inclined Twelve Step program.

AA has helped millions of people all over the country and world as they work on their sobriety.

What is Narcotics Anonymous?

Narcotics Anonymous is a global organization that was founded in 1953 and modeled after Alcoholics Anonymous.

It focuses on a solution for drug addiction but it also recognizes alcohol as a drug and therefore welcomes people who are addicted to all substances.

NA is a nonprofit fellowship of men and women who meet regularly to help each other stay clean.

NA has one requirement from the members and that is a willingness to stop using and become clean.

What are Al-Anon and Alateen?

Al-Anon is a support group that was founded to help individuals and family members whose lives have been affected by someone who has an addiction to alcohol.
Alateen is a group/fellowship of young Al-Anon members that are teenagers and young adults whose lives have been affected by someone who has a drinking problem.
By going to a meeting, teenagers can meet other teenagers who have had similar situations with someone whom they know has an addiction to drinking.

Our Addiction Treatment Facility

Peace Valley Recovery is located in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. We work with people from all over the country, including Syracuse, New York.

We offer intensive outpatient services and partial hospitalization services. These services help those who want to abstain from their addiction.

About Peace Valley Recovery

We strive for comprehensive outpatient rehab and addiction treatment results for our patients.

We educate our patients on what addiction is and how it affects them. We then educate patients to develop coping skills, recognize triggers and that might be the cause of their drug and alcohol addiction.
