Alcoholics Anonymous is an organization that was originally founded in 1935.
They offer peer support for people who have made the decision to stop drinking.
It is a dedicated group of people that help alcoholics use peer-to-peer in sobriety through the use of the spiritually inclined Twelve Step program.

What is Narcotics Anonymous?
Narcotics Anonymous is a global organization that was founded in 1953 and modeled after Alcoholics Anonymous.
It focuses on a solution for drug addiction but it also recognizes alcohol as a drug and therefore welcomes people who are addicted to all substances.
NA is a nonprofit fellowship of men and women who meet regularly to help each other stay clean.
NA has one requirement from the members and that is a willingness to stop using and become clean.

What are Al-Anon and Alateen?
Al-Anon is a support group that was founded to help individuals and family members whose lives have been affected by someone who has an addiction to alcohol.
Alateen is a group/fellowship of young Al-Anon members that are teenagers and young adults whose lives have been affected by someone who has a drinking problem.
By going to a meeting, teenagers can meet other teenagers who have had similar situations with someone whom they know has an addiction to drinking.
